ABOUT ME
It all truly began when I was a child, standing beside my mother in her warm kitchen. She had this way of making cooking seem like magic, effortlessly transforming simple ingredients into something incredible.
I have a unique journey that blends creativity and determination. Although I was initially pushed into law school, I eventually completed my studies and followed my true passion for the culinary arts, where I developed both my skills and love for food.
I see every project as an opportunity to tell a visual story through food.
COOK, SOOM & FOOD STYLIST
I studied Culinary Arts at the renowned Mariano Moreno Institute in Medellin, Colombia, immersing myself in the vibrant culinary culture before moving to Atlanta for an internship where I first discovered my love for food styling, learned the techniques and principles that would shape my creative work.
To build on my expertise, I pursued certifications in wine through the WSET, completing Levels 2 and 3 in both Atlanta and New York. These experiences gave me a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage pairing, which has become an essential part of my food styling work.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, with intermediate French and beginner Portuguese, my language skills enable me to work across cultures and connect with diverse clients and collaborators.
Whether I’m leading a kitchen or creating visual content for food brands, my goal is always to deliver excellence, creativity and inspiration.
MECATO
In addition to food styling, I’ve built my own brand, Mecato, where I create and sell products that I personally cook. Currently, Mecato is thriving with massive sales of ceviche and tartare, offering customers fresh, expertly prepared dishes.
Looking ahead, I plan to expand the brand into a supper club, bringing together food lovers for exclusive, intimate dining experiences where I can combine my love of food styling, creativity, and culinary expertise.
